Bio & Education:

 

Beth is a native of Columbia, SC and has been established in the Charleston area since 2001.  She has earned the following credentials:

 

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of South Carolina with the Board of Examiners for Counselors, Therapists, & Psycho-Educational Specialists

  • Master of Arts in Psychology from the Citadel's Clinical Counseling Program. The Citadel's Clinical Counseling Master of Arts Program is accredited by the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Counsel (MPCAC), and is a member of the Council of Applied Masters Programs in Psychology (CAMPP)

  • Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston

  • Master of Education in Student Personnel Services from the University of South Carolina

  • Intensive DBT training through Behavioral Tech, A Linehan Institute for Training

  • Level 1 Clinical Training Gottman Method Couples Therapy 

  • Co-Parenting Coordinator through Cooperative Parenting Institute

Beth's Approach:

Beth’s theraputic approach is comprehensive in nature and utilizes evidenced based strategies and techniques. Some specific interests include:

  • Anxiety and Depression

  • Mindfulness and Emotional Regulation

  • Relationship and communication problems

  • Co-Parenting Coordination

  • Divorce Coaching


​Beth’s approach to both individual and couples counseling uses non-judgmental, compassionate support identifying emotions and suggesting new tools to help achieve joy and wellness. Beth believes each person has the ability to lead a fulfilling life.
